Well, I'm happy to finally be able to say that I am moving to Chicago in a week! I am beyond thrilled for this next adventure in life as I transition from a small town back into a big city (with a Barneys very close to my apartment - thank G O D).
Anyone been or live in Chicago?? I'd love to get as many recommendations as possible of coffee shops, restaurants, stores, galleries, et cetera ...send them my way! I would greatly appreciate it! <3
Ohhhh gosh, how I've missed blogging and all of you lovely readers!
I've been off in Spain and recently returned home so I'm catching up on e-mails and trying to get back into the flow of work and blogging again...
Meanwhile, at the airports and on airplanes - I got to catch up on some books and magazines which was actually very exciting to me since I don't make as much time for them now as I used to. Just to note that the new PORTER magazine is absolutely fabulous. Definitely worth picking up a copy.
I'll be doing a post on my travels for you all soon but in the meantime I'll leave you with an amazing interior inspiration from a chic restaurant we found in Madrid. It's basically a dream living room with cocktails forever being served in the prettiest of glasses (oh, what a life that would be!)
A must place to visit for lunch or late night cocktails or simply for some great interior inspiration.

Finally feeling settled into my new place in Colorado Springs and I'm already back in Denver for adventures...I mean, you really can't keep me away from museums and the city life so it was inevitable. Did a quick trip this weekend downtown- explored, ate too much, and bought too much. The usual. Here's a little glimpse through pictures...

Wow! Life has taken me on a crazy journey these past couple of months and lately I feel like it's all been one crazy dream...
I know I've been lacking in content on my blog lately but I hope to get back to regular posting once I get back into a schedule. Currently, I have been offered a new job position which I accepted and with that came a move. I've been house hunting, apartment hunting, cave hunting, you name it - it's been a crazy five weeks. I finally found a place and it's perfect for me. (I'll make sure to post before and after pictures of when it's all decorated and details on that once I make a little bit of progress!)
I've been moving all weekend and am so grateful I'm only a couple hours away from my parents so that they can help me - they have been such a rock for me lately in everything including those moments when I just start crying cause the pillows I got are two different tones of grey - ya know, girly things.
So, here's to a new chapter in my life. Thanks to everyone who has been on this journey with me through my blog and thanks for sticking around and supporting me. This blog means a lot to me and even though I'll have a full time job now and I won't be freelance, I still will be updating it as much as I can. This blog has become such a creative outlet for me and a space to let my ideas and writing flow and I can't imagine not having it now. So make sure to stay tuned!

June has quickly faded away and I can't believe we are already in the month of July. Half the year is over and I'm sort of frazzled with how quickly time went by! Staying positive though with life even though I've been rocked every which way lately. Positive, positive, did I mention positive? Ok. J'ai fini.
Here are my currents which seem to have stuck around from June but hey, I have yet to discover my July jam yet. Suggestions?
READING: Looking for Alaska by John Green - I loved Green's book The Fault in Our Stars and the adaptation from book to movie was very well done. I knew I had to pick up another one of his books and this one has been great so far.
WATCHING: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - I'm sooooo over the moon about this movie. The story line is so beautiful and really eye opening as to how we tend to limit ourselves and the adventure that comes with taking risks. I know it came out a couple months ago but I really do love watching it. The cinematography is absolutely breathe taking - makes me want to take out my passport and book a flight to Iceland this summer.
LISTENING: West Coast by Lana Del Rey & Heavenly Father by Bon Iver. Two of my favorite humans in the musical world just making hits for me to sing in my car. I can't get enough.
LUSTING: Chloé Wallet with Chain Strap - I've been looking for a cute night bag for a while now and I'm really leaning towards this Wallet. It's versatile for throwing in my bag in the day time then just adding lipgloss and my phone for night. The design is simple but elegant and It weighs barely anything which is perfect. I've tried it on a couple times and love the way it feels but I'm still a little on the fence...we'll see if I take the plunge in purchasing.
