Luxe Finds - Glaze

I decided to start a new series over here on Kind Of Luxe called Luxe Finds. I wanted a series that I could spotlight on brands, products, articles, etc. that I felt needed their own post! I stumble upon so many awesome finds that end up sitting in my bookmark folder so I decided to give them a little home.

Excited to introduce the first in the Luxe Finds Series:

Glaze featuring The U Candle

THE U CANDLE

“Glaze is a Lifestyle product design studio based in New York City. The husband and wife duo behind the studio, Akeem and Stephanie Glaze, launched their namesake in 2017 to create authentic, quality items designed with distinct attention to detail. With equal emphasis placed on form, function, and experience, glaze's products make for arrest- ing, yet subdued, statement pieces for the home. Each piece is carefully crafted and subtly infused with influences from the duo's roots in Palm Beach and the Northeast.”

This stunning candle is not only functional but truly a work of art. I was so shocked at how beautiful and sleek it is as I pulled it out of it’s just-as-well designed box. Made from 100% white beeswax which is naturally bleached through sun exposure, and burns clean. I’m not sure if I will be able to verify this because that means burning the candle which I never want to do!

It’s beautiful shape plus the sleek brass holder is a chic addition to your home.

The U Candle is also a wonderful gift to give for a wedding, to your friends who love candles and well designed products, and of course it’s an amazing host gift. Imagine showing up with this beauty during the holidays!?

Honestly, I’m obsessed with it and have it perfectly placed as the centerpiece of my dinning room table. I now have the Glaze website bookmarked forever because if Akeem and Stephanie Glaze made this stunning candle, I can’t wait to see what else they will create!

Maybe one day I’ll burn it….maybe.

You can purchase the U candle on the Glaze Website!

Interior Inspiration: Handelsmann + Khan 12BF

I recently discovered the work of Felix Forest and absolutely love what he does in both his Interior and Personal work.

Having spent the last seven years traversing between his former home of Paris and his new home of Sydney, Forest's european sensibility combined with his curiousity for natural beauty and the human imprint, have provided the cornerstone for his commercial and personal work, both of which have since built him a strong international presence.

This home in particular is what really drew me to his work. The play of white walls and deep colored wood beams that bring a warmth into the space to make it feel very inviting and home-y. I'm also a huge sucker for a cascading marble counter top in a kitchen - what a dream!

WE STUMBLED ACROSS AN ENCHANTING 18TH CENTURY BUILDING, IN ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC LISBON SQUARES, LOCATED IN THE OLD CULTURAL QUARTER OF THE CITY. SANTA CLARA 1728 IS SURROUNDED BY MONUMENTS, BEAUTIFUL PALACES AND A PARK WITH STUNNING VIEWS OF THE RIVER.
Charmed by the beauty of the place we soon discovered that we had found our new family home...

The renovation carried out under the guidance of our good friend Manuel Aires Mateus, not only respected the original heritage, but it also added serenity and comfort through the purity which defines his architecture. The outcome was a peaceful home where guests are welcomed as long time friends.

I would do anything to stay in this home. The interior design and decor are absolutely stunning. Minimal yet warm and inviting. I imagine the stay here is really special. One day!
