THE WEAVED bag

I love a good handbag. Besides a great pair of shoes, a handbag can really make a look.

For this spring and summer I'm loving these weaved bags. I wouldn't call it a 'trend' since Jane Birkin was carrying a weaved wicker basket as a handbag since 1981, before the Birkin bag existed.

There are so many types in shape, size, color, texture...the options are endless! Also, unless it's this insane Balenciaga - they are normally at a very good price point for a handbag. A great piece to add into your wardrobe this season.

My favorite is this stunning Eugenia Kim with a gorgeous top handle, and this colorful Striped Sophie Anderson bag with a cute lid.

SHOP POST:

Mansur Gavriel Handbags.

My love for Mansur Gavriel handbags started long before I even knew who created them. I remember seeing a street style image shot by my favorite Tommy Tom of a French Editor wearing it outside a show last year. I fell head-over heels for that black bucket bag and knew I had to have it. Unfortunately, at the time I had no idea who made them or where to buy it. Life went on, and I stumbled upon it again via a fashion blogger that I admire months later. I finally found out the name and tried to buy my own - sadly, at this point there was a waiting list and limited supply so I put my name down, per-ordered and received my giant box almost six months later.

To be a hundred percent honest, I've never gone to such trouble to get anything but the wait was so worth it. I'm hoping I can get the another bag when they are back in stock because they are made with such a beautiful Italian leather and will distress gracefully. Nothing flashy about them and super minimal which, I absolutely adore. The colors are great too. I got mine in black with a deep navy interior.

The light pink backpack is so cute, I've thought about getting it or the tote in a dark brown leather but for now I'm thoroughly enjoying my mini bucket bag.
