Weekend Looks | Jeans + White Shirt, c'est chic.

I'm all about a 'go-to' look for every woman. I switch between two separate looks. Black skinny jeans, a black tee and weather dependent, a black leather jacket OR a white button down, and high-rise medium washed skinny jeans. These are my outfits when my brain just doesn't want to put a 'look' together. I know I will be comfortable in it and it's easy to switch up between the two. Currently, I've been wearing more of the white shirt and skinnies look since it's still too hot in Chicago to wear consistently all black.

Brilliant to find a look that is 'yours' for those days when you just don't have the time but need to show up in, ya know....clothes.

Currently Loving: Furry Slides.

I've recently become obsessed with Furry slides. I love a shoe that has an interesting feature or in this case, texture. Turning a basic slide into something much more exciting. Initial reaction? A little concerned about the cleanliness factor to be honest...I think I can move past that though once I slip my foot into these Brother Vellies slides.

So many styles currently and maybe it all started with the Gucci Loafer last Fall that changed my perspective on how chic and amazing a good slide is and then the sandal furries started rolling in for summer and I was sold.

ONE: Miu Miu Shearling Sandal

TWO: Brother Vellies Marabou Lamu Sandal

THREE: Tibi Jack Slides

FOUR: Givenchy Mink Slides

Found some great Zara options as well if you're more into faux...

Option ONE // Option TWO (love these!)

Definitely hoping to pick up a pair. Brother Vellies are my favorite but Tibi's Jack Slides are a close second for me. The Miu Miu's are incredible though, tried them on the other day and it's like walking on a bed of clouds!

What are your thoughts on the furry shoe? Love? or hate..?

Casual Monday

I've recently been trying to 'up' my casual game. Looking for pieces that have special details to make a simple outfit look more elegant. Turning to classics with a modern twist. I love these Miu Miu suede pumps with a curved heel as well as this beautiful Dion Lee blouse with an chic open back. Paired with simple dark wash jeans and a great overcoat, voila!

Other pieces I love from the S A L E:

Must Have: Textured Cardigan

So shaggy - so A P R I C OT heaven. I'm obsessed with this cardigan by CFDA finalist, Ryan Roche. Known for her incredible knits in the dreamiest of fabrics and pastel colors - this cardigan is perfection.

I think I ramble at this point about how much I love adding texture to your wardrobe. This cardigan is the perfect example. It's playfully shaggy and can be dressed up or down. I think it's so fun to layer underneath a shaggy cardigan rather than just automatically reaching for a coat every time you go out this Fall.
